The High Line is a public park built on an historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan's West Side built on a 1.45-mile section of the former elevated New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line. It is owned by the City of New York, and maintained and operated by Friends of the High Line, founded in 1999 by community residents. High Line has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway and is maintained as an extraordinary public space for all to enjoy. Manhattan, New York, USA. 4th June 2013. Photo Tim Clayton
